About Anderson Foundation for the Arts

For over thirty years, Mark and Patricia Anderson have collected sculptures from various contemporary artists.  They have begun gifting parts of their own collection to the Foundation with the aspiration that it may, through the Foundation’s activities, benefit the community. At present, the collection is formed of small and large sculptures.

The Anderson's believe that access to art is supremely important and wish to share their knowledge and collection with the public.  Learning how the creative process works encourages imagination that helps to form innovative minds and critical thinking. The Foundation is qualified to teach about art because the founders and board members have extensive backgrounds in the arts.

It is the organization’s intention to lend artwork, curate exhibitions, collaborate with other non-profits to enrich communities with art, and maintain a public sculpture display in Walla Walla, Washington.
